In April 2010, Joy of Sex performed a live acoustic radio session for BBC Bristol.

Faced with the challenge of using no electric instruments, the drum machine was switched for a mechanical metronome, the synthesizer became a glockenspiel and an acoustic bass was borrowed (thanks Mark Foley!).

The songs were recorded live in single takes in front of two microphones.
